A one-step gel with crystal transparency, squeeze this product straight from the bottle onto your diorama or miniature base to create beautiful replicas of the sea, rivers, lakes, ponds, or puddles. It has a multitude of advantages over other traditional ways of creating water effects:
Ultrafast drying gel. This product can be combined with a UV Torch to dry in 2-4 minutes. On a sunny day, the gel has a drying time of 5-10 minutes. On a cloudy day, 20-40 minutes.
Can be dyed. The UV Resin can be mixed with any of our Intensity or DYE inks to dye the gel with only a few drops, allowing it to create different types of water, such as bogged swamps or radioactive lakes! IMPORTANT! If you want to dye the UV resin with any of our CANDY inks, it should be applied when the resin is fully cured.
Doesn't shrink. The UV Resin doesn't shrink like other water-replicating materials. The quantity of resin used is the quantity of resin you get when fully dried.
Multilayer friendly. In case you want to create the effect of submerging something in the water, multiple layers can be placed on top of each other without leaving layer marks.
Can be cut, polished, and worked easily. The resin is easy to manipulate and can be shaped and carved however you want!
Low smell and toxicity compared to more traditional methods.

There are many advantages to using this UV resin over traditional methods of creating water effects. Firstly, it dries ultrafast, taking just 2-4 minutes to dry when combined with a UV torch, and 5-10 minutes on a sunny day. On a cloudy day, the drying time is approximately 20-40 minutes, according to the thickness of the applied product.
One of the most unique features of this resin is that it can be dyed using any of the Intensity inks or the DYE inks, allowing you to create different types of water such as bogged swamps or radioactive lakes. It's important to note that if you want to dye the UV resin with any of the CANDY inks, it should be applied when the resin is fully cured.
Another advantage of this resin is that it does not shrink like other water-effect materials. The amount of resin used is the amount of resin you get when it is completely dry, which makes it much easier to work with and achieve the desired result. In addition, this resin is multi-layer friendly, allowing you to create the effect of dipping something in water by layering several layers on top of each other without leaving visible marks at different levels of application.
This resin is also easy to manipulate, shape, and carve, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of projects. It has a low smell and toxicity compared to more traditional methods, making it safer and more pleasant to work with.
It's worth noting that when the resin is in its non-solid state, you can use a heat gun or a kitchen lighter to heat the resin and force out any air bubbles that may have gotten caught in it. Additionally, keep in mind that the resin will remain in its gel state indefinitely until it is exposed to natural or ultraviolet light. It's important to not expose the inside of the bottle to natural light, as this could cause the gel to crystallize.
There are a few things to keep in mind when working with UV resin. Environmental conditions can affect the properties of the material, so it's best to use it in a dry, ventilated place at a temperature between 18°C and 25°C. Extreme cold or heat can damage the material. Additionally, if the resin is not exposed to adequate UV light or the UV light output is insufficient, the surface may feel tacky after curing. In this case, it is recommended to apply more UV light or gloss varnish.
GSW recommends consuming the product within 10 months of purchase, although the shelf life may decrease after opening depending on the state of preservation, exposure to UV light, and low temperatures.
